- although we are portuguese, messages/articles and so forth may appear first in English and only later in Portuguese (as in this case), we beg our Portuguese readers indulgence and shall correct this as soon as possible (my written Portuguese is dreadful - an other colleague shall soon write this out in our native tongue)
we are a group of people bound together with common goals:
- promotion of artists (Fine Arts), performance artists, photographers, Muitimedia Projects etc.
- creation of a direct link between Artists and their Clients
Since we are basically nomadic in nature, our Gallery is mostly 'online' and thus virtual for the most part. However, in order to show off work created by our talented artists, we periodically hold a showing of their works (both collectively as well as individually).
We also promote shows outside our realm of action, in order to give our colaborators more public exposure.
As we have little overhead costs - our commission is minimal (never more than 10%, can be as low as 2% depending on artist & work purchaced)
Although we do not link ourselves to any political or phylosophical movement, we do have some ideological quirks:
1. We do not believe in exclusive contracts between artists and promoters - therefore we do not practice this on any account.
2. We only represent artists and art projects who's work we find to be deeply moving.
3. We believe art should be in constant growth and contact with common Man. Thus we promote discussion regarding Art / Art tendancies / etc. We do not however, through such discussion - wish to make an apology of "Art for the Masses", nor do we propose any form of our artists making their work more "commercial". We simply wish to promote healthy discourse regarding the subject, whether it be done by artists, critics, art-lovers, electricians, actors, taxi drivers, constuction workers, pilots, nurses, military police ... (anyone)
